Cartoon on the Spaniards after the defeat in the battle of Duins, 21 October 1639. In a barber shop, with an owl on his head, there is a bloated Spaniard (Don Diego of Castile) who suffers from dropsy and is assisted by a group of doctors. He spits out the Spanish fleet at Duins, a French doctor (Cardinal Richelieu) makes a bloodletting and through enlisting a stream of Spanish soldiers and gold pieces leaves the back of the body. furthermore, a Swedish doctor, the admiral of Dunkirk (Jacques Colaert) and on the right a Dutch Sailor offers the sick Spaniard a bowl with orange apples. Below the print is a text sheet pasted with a dialogue between the depicted persons, in 4 columns in Dutch.
