A man and a woman throw stones behind them with their faces covered, which turn into men and women. They are Deucalion and Pyrrha, the only man and woman who had survived the great flood of the gods. From an oracle (seen in the middle of the background) they were advised to 'throw the bones of the great mother behind him'. On the left side of the mountain behind the oracle you can see the ark in which Deucalion and Pyrrha managed to survive the flood. Under the performance two times two lines of Latin text.
