Rectangular dish of porcelain with a wavy edge, painted in underglaze blue. On the obverse a map of Japan divided into provinces indicated in blue cartouches. Around the land stylized waves that indicate the sea. In it are two foreign ships off the coast. At the top a round and rectangular cartouche with the inscription in Japanese: 'Ships of strange lands, which fill our hearts day and night with care with regard to the peace among the people, Thou barberen immediately returns immediately! You know that Our Land is the land where the gods dwell, but why do you want to attack it!'. At the top right and bottom left, Korea and the Ryukyu Islands are shown. Dated on underside: from the period of Tempô (1833 - 1844). Blue and white.
