Double barrel flintlock rifle, anonymous, 1670 - 1680 Canvas Print
The lock consists of three parts: a rear lock plate and two front lock plates, one for each barrel. The lock plate parts are decorated with flower and leaf vines, ending in a head and a dragon's head on the back lock plate; engraved with MASTRECK. The two walks are mounted on top of each other; equipped with two filed rings; engraved on the back with portraits and profil of a man and a woman; the tail of the barrel is engraved with praise; stamped at the bottom with an obscure mark, probably a D and an M. The stock consists of two parts: the handle, embossed with curls around the barrel and a stock box on the right with a retractable lid decorated with leaf vines and a back plate of cow horn; and the front drawer with grooved sides, one of which contains the loading stick; branded on the bottom of the handle with a mark in the shape of two curved fish above the stamped number 28. The iron fitting consists of three loading pole sleeves, the trigger bracket with a gap for the unblocking splint of the rotating mechanism and engraved on the bottom with a man's portrait and profil, and the stock plate; there is no screw plate; the charging stick is equipped with an iron hood.
