The eastern courtyard, largely filled with objects of Dutch history. To increase the exhibition space, a built-in was made in the courtyard. On the right side of the photo the pedestal of the design for a memorial for the Dutch military operations in Aceh. The flags are a spoils of war from the 17th century naval wars and mainly of English origin. Eastern courtyard seen to the south. In the background the stairs to tower VII. To the left of the stairs is a window of the basement visible. On the left, part of the walls in the courtyard is visible. These walls form an exhibition space.
