The three daughters of King Cecrops open the basket entrusted to them by Minerva with Erichthonius. A little dog dives into each other growling when he sees the baby's legs, which end in snake tails. On the left a fountain with the representation of Diana of Ephesus, who here represents Mother Earth (Gaea), the mother of little Erichthonius.
