Fireworks in honor of the coronation of William III and Mary II as King and Queen of Great Britain, 21 April 1689. Fireworks of the English merchants in Amsterdam fired from some ships on the water in front of the Kloveniersdoelen in Amsterdam. A fully loaded large barge in the front left shoots a cannon and has a large flag that says: For the Prot[es](tant) Religi[o](n] An(d) Liberty of England. Further in front four fully loaded rowing boats. Further on, near an equally fully loaded bridge near the Staalstraat, the actual fireworks are fired. The streets, windows and roofs are full of people and there are even more boats in the water. On one of them, to the left of the fireworks, there are burning barrels, even further to the left is another bonfire.
