Flintlock pistol, Frans Delahaye, 1720 - 1730 Canvas Print
Probably military pistol. Part of a couple. The lock is the same as that of NG-2002-23-158; the yellow copper lock plate is engraved with praise and the signature of the maker; the rooster with a curled dragon or snake. The barrel of previously gilded yellow copper is engraved on the back with praise and stamped on the bottom with an I; a ridge runs over the top; the visor grain is yellow copper. The stock is cut with, among other things, praise. The previously gilded yellow-copper fitting consists, among other things, of an interrupted curly-shaped screw plate, an inch plate with an acanthus leaf at the top and bottom, and a lobed stock cap embossed with the same lobes on the bottom in a cross; the palm wood loading stick is equipped with a yellow-copper hood.
