Flute glass with a portrait of William III, anonymous, c. 1655 - c. 1660 Canvas Print

Conical foot with over-edged edge. Hollow, baluster-shaped trunk with two discs. High, funnel-shaped chalice. A portrait of Stadholder Prince William III (1650-1702) is engraved on the chalice as a child. The prince wears a dress with collar and cuffs, on the head a hat with bows and an ostrich spring. In his right hand he holds a general staff, with the other hand he plucks an orange apple from a twig. On the reverse side, his crowned coat of arms is depicted, surrounded by the Garter of the Order of the same name. Under the coat of arms a pinched tree, from which a young loot shoots and a dune landscape with a church tower. Under the performance fesses with orange apples. To the left above the portrait is the glass signed CFM.
