Fotoalbum Abrechnungsintendantur van de Wehrmacht, anonymous, anonymous, 1941 - 1943 Canvas Print
Photo album of a soldier working at the Abrechnungsintendantur (kind of payroll) of the Wehrmacht. Blue and white fabric cover. The album contains 24 black sheets with a total of 199 photos. The compiler worked from 1 October 1941 to 31 March 1942 in Leiden and from 1 April 1942 to 16 August 1942 in Apeldoorn. Album starts with photos from Amsterdam and Middelburg (damage to city hall). Some photos from Apeldoorn could have been taken in or near Het Loo. During WWII this was used as a quartering centre for the German troops. Many photos showing two women, probably the wife and daughter of the compiler. Also trips to Volendam and Marken, Amsterdam and the Rijksmuseum. In 1943, the compiler was transferred to Croatia, with photographs of Zagreb and Mostar.
