Funeral Hendrik Koot, Photo service NSB, 1941 Canvas Print
The funeral of Hendrik Koot. Koot, 42, was guardmaster of the WA and was badly wounded on February 11 during fighting with Jewish residents, provoked by the WA. He died on February 12 and was buried on Zorgvlied on the 17th. The carriage with horses and accompanied by WAers travels over the Vijzelgracht, along the side some interested parties. One of them brings greetings to the NSB. Koot's death and subsequent riots led to raids on the Jews, which became the reason for the February strike on 25 and 26 February 1941.
