Porcelain gin jar, painted in underglaze blue. The jug is in the shape of a jolly Dutch man sitting on a barrel, holding a bottle in his raised left hand and a glass in his other hand. The head is separate from the body and serves as a cap; on the head a feathered hat. At the front of the barrel is a hole made for a brass tap. The barrel rests on a pedestal with European-style voluutornaments; the pedestal is decorated with leaf vines. Blue and white.
