Group of three children: summer, Jan Baptist Xavery, 1726 Canvas Print
The three children, given the frequent corn necks, depict summer. The girl on the right holds a sheaf in her right hand as if it were a big bouquet and has some loose ears of corn in her left. The boy in the middle stands on a bundle and holds in his left hand the handle of a broken sickle. The girl on the left mainly takes over with the boy, but has slid a few ears of corn into her hair. In addition to the mutual interaction, Xavery also uses sparse draperies to connect the naked figures.
