Half Model of a Fireship, anonymous, c. 1799 Canvas Print
Fully boarded truss model (starboard). The skin has been partially removed to show the device. Three levels: on blocks lies the very low lower deck, on which two fire ovens are placed; half deck and baking deck, on the baking deck a chimney and roasting pill; upper campanje. A gutter connects both fire ovens and has two branches to openings in the skin just below the lower barkwood. On the lower deck are three unknown pear-shaped objects. There are deck bars over the pit. Round stern with a trap gate. The seas are forward and backward, two barwoods and one roe deer. Round with flat bottom. This model is practically identical to NG-MC-429.
