Dutch answer to the French cartoon De ongeneeselijke ziekte, 1673. Sheet on which three plates are printed. In the central performance, the Dutch Lion and the German eagle attack the boar (Bishop of Munster), in the foreground lies the already killed French rooster. Two bishops fight each other, a third is attacked by Rabenhaupt. Left and right in two smaller performances the answers to the side plates in the French plate II. On the left, an Englishman with a klisteer sprayer gets a lavement through which a stream of ships flows out of his rear. In the foreground, the lion lets the dog sit up in front of the prince. On the right, a French soldier with a wooden leg is attacked by a Dutchman. In the foreground, another French soldier with a klisteer sprayer gets a lavement through which a stream of names of recaptured cities in the Republic (Naarden, Nieuweschans, Coevorden, Utrecht) flows out of his rearside.
