Inkwell with the Tiber, Romulus and Remus with the She-wolf, and the arms of the Della Rovere, Tiziano Minio (attributed to), c. 1547 - c. 1548 Canvas Print

On a rectangular, upwards rejuvenating, plinth-shaped elevation with concave sides, the god sits half erected with his legs to the right and with the face whole and the torsion three-quarters accustomed to the viewer. He leans with his right arm on a cornucopia, while holding an oars with his left hand. Between his slightly raised left leg and the left arm that stretches above it, the she-wolf jumps diagonally from left to front to one of the boys, who crawls against the god's right leg at the front and looks back in the meantime. The second boy sits behind the left raised knee, holds off the she-wolf with his right hand and has the smiling face of the viewer off. The god sits on a cloak, which, slid off the shoulders, covers the raised upper leg and the right forearm; in the curly hair he has a braided band. The cornucopia shows a large opening with bunches of grapes, leaves and the like on the edge. On the corners of the elevation, winged mascarons are placed, the front and back are decorated with trophies in low relief, the short sides show a recess for an inscription. At the front in the middle a cartouche, on which the coat of arms of the Della Rovere family. Probably the horn served as an inkwell.
