International hall, 235 (M220, 221, 222, 222a), postcard. The international hall has a curved light duct. The kooflijst rests on consoles in the form of views and leaf masks. The outer edge of the skylight is painted. In 1895, the upholstery of the resting benches was replaced by leather. The two emblems above the passageways have not been filled in. In 1909 this room was divided into three parts. The international hall was intended for paintings by 'non-Dutch masters.' Its destination is characterized by the blasphemy painted in Frisian from the countries and cities where painting flourished mainly: A. Dietsche tribe: Bruges, Brussels, Ghent, Antwerp, Cologne, Augsburg, Nürnberg, Maastricht. B. Italy: Bologna, Sienna, Florence, Rome, Venice, Naples, Milan. C. France: Paris D. Spain: Madrid.
