Chair (series of four identical chairs BK-1994-A,B,C,D) made of ironwood with rattan-clad seat. Faintly backward curved hind legs and over-angled S-shaped forelimbs that end in lion's claws and are decorated with shell motifs at the top. The cross has scalloped side sports and a scalloped cross sport. The hind legs are connected under the seat by a second cross sport. The lower edge of the seating lines on the front and sides is made up of two S-volutes with a shell motif in the middle. The high back has scalloped posts and a broad baluster-shaped middle leaf that is crowned by a shell from which leaf bells depend, in the midst of leaf colonies, and which is decorated from below with a standing leaf bell on a pedestal. Where the styles touch the middle leaf, they end up in volutes decorated with leaf motifs.
