To the left of the performance, God appears to Isaac and forbids him from going to Egypt. The tetragram symbolizes God the Father. Isaak stayed in Gerar. When the inhabitants of this city asked Isaac questions about his wife, he said that she was his sister. On the right, Abimelech, king of the Philistines, looks out of the window of his palace and watches Isaak Rebekka affectionately (Gen. 26:8).
