Jewel box made of wood, covered with green velvet and decorated in high relief with gold and silver wire and river pearls. Model: in the form of a sewing cushion that opens in two halves; each presumably with wooden inner shape, which is lined on the outside with green velvet over a soft filling and on the inside with tightly drawn carmine red satin. Embroidery: the deck has high relief embroidery with real pearls, so-called river pearls, with gold and silver thread. The relief is most likely created by parchment, on which is embroidered. The metal wire in two techniques: so-called laid gold thread (or couché, couched gold); respectively silver wire, and in cannetille, i.e. spirally embroidered. On the corners of the lid acorn-shaped tassels, "akertjes" (= acorn) in gold thread. Pattern: within a rectangular border, each side of which is symmetrically filled with volutetranes, violets, hearts and roses, there is a reclining, oval rollerwork cartouche with a family emblem (?). This represents a falcon, sitting on a large celestial sphere, armillary sphere (celestial globe), between two laurel branches. Aside were once inscriptions and date ... VIRTUTE... and 1598. Interior: box in the bottom half with black sliders between which rings can be clamped. Mirror in the lid, encased in gold cord and four green tassels.
