Standing woman in a gown of lame and broched in gold, topped with wrinkled strips of tulle embroidered with gold thread. Flower and leaf motif. Short puff sleeves. On the head a toque of 'gaze d'or' decorated with ostrich feathers. Further accessories: earrings, necklace, belt, long gloves, bracelets on both wrists, handkerchief, impeller. The print is part of the fashion magazine Journal des Dames et des Modes, published by Pierre de la Mésangère, Paris, 1797-1839.
