According to the caption, the 'Demi Parure' was drawn during a concert by Madame Catalani. The accompanying text (p. 182) reports: Hairstyle with tightly combed back hair and braids, decorated with a tres amaranthes and a tuff in the same color on the back of the head. Earrings and necklace of blood coral. Gown of white mousseline, with garnish in red. Short poffende sleeves. White (long) gloves and white shoes. The print is part of the fashion magazine Journal des Dames et des Modes, published in Frankfurt as a copy of the French edition of Pierre de la Mésangère, (1798-1848).
