Green shoes. Fig. 2: English fashion: Bonnet 'à la chaumière', topped with may flowers. Short gown of white muslin with a drapery that runs diagonally from the waist to the lower edge. Drapery and and bottom edge decorated with richly embroidered lace. Spencer of blue silk. The print is part of the fashion magazine Journal des Dames et des Modes, published in Frankfurt as a copy of the French edition of Pierre de la Mésangère, (1798-1848).
