Covered in dark red leather, with 2 ditches to close box with the decorations of the Grand Cross of the Order of the Star of Africa, Republic of Liberia, founded in 1920, granted to Prime Minister W. Drees. The decorations consist of a carrying sign on a shoulder ribbon and an order star. The two-sided sign consists of a nine-pointed, white enamelled gold star, between which nine golden points of rays on which nine small five-pointed blue stars; in the middle a golden medallion with intertwined the letters R L, including 1920, with inscription in gold letters on light blue background 'The love of liberty brought us here'. As a medallion in gold, the reverse has turned a figure and profile to the right that raises hands outstretched to the sky, with the inscription on a deep red background 'Light in darkness'. The sign is attached with an eye to a golden wreath of leaves, which is attached with a carrying eye to light blue carrier ribbon with red strip in the middle. The order star is the same on the other side of the sign. The inside of the lid is covered with white velvet. Both signs lie on a deep red velvet elevation, under which the carrying strap lies. In the box, release a business card with printed 'S. Edward Peal / Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Liberia / The Hague' and typed 'In the name and on instruction of the President of the Republic of Liberia'. The Grand Cross of the Order of the Star of Africa was awarded by Prime Minister W. Drees by William V.S. Tubman, President of Liberia, on December 10, 1956 on the occasion of his state visit to the Netherlands on October 15, 1956.
