Black-clad box with the decorations of the Grand Cross of the Ordre du Merite Civil et Militaire d'Adolphe de Nassau, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, granted to Prime Minister W. Drees. The decorations consist of the order mark with shoulder strap and the order star. The order sign is a white enamelled golden cross that hangs from a crown. The middle medallion shows a crowned (Gothic) letter A (for Adolph) in gold on a white background, with the inscription 'Virtute' and laurel leaves in gold on a blue background. The reverse shows in gold on a white background the years 1292 (year in which Adolf of Nassau became German king) and 1858 (year of the order). The shoulder strap is deep blue with an orange border on either side. The silver order star has eight points of five radii each, with a gebrillianteerde silver ring in the medallion (front) of the order mark. The lid is lined with white side on the inside, the decorations are on a blue velvet elevation that can be folded halfway, under which the shoulder strap lies.
