Left to right. Young man, walking to the right, looking at a pocket watch. He wears a 'habit' of purple sheet, a white vest and black knee pants. Knotted neckerchief. On the curled hair a top hat. In the right hand a walking stick and in the left hand a pocket watch. Ankle boots at the feet with tassels on the top. Two women's vans. Bottom: white hat with blue stripes decorated with a garland of pink ribbons. Above: 'bonnet turban chinois' of pink tafside decorated with purple ribbon. Two children: according to the text, the boy is dressed in a sailor suit (matelot) of white 'basin' with a pointed collar, the girl in a 'fourreau' of white muslin with also pointed collar and a blue ribbon around the waist.
