Maurits's investiture with the Order of the Garter, 4 February 1613. Maurits is given the garter by a herald in the main hall of the Binnenhof in 's-Gravenhage in the presence of the English ambassador, Johan van Oldenbarnevelt, the members of the States-General and many other guests. In the foreground outside a large crowd of soldiers and eleven deployed cannons. Left and right parts of the city are visible. At the top left the coat of arms of Maurits with an eagle and the garter, cut out on the right and pasted a cartouche with the assignment of Frisius to Maurits and the States-General. The print stuck on a sheet of paper on which the title is written with pen.
