Allegorical monument with at the top the coats of arms of the seven provinces. The monument is papered with medallions with images and coats of arms of the main cities per province. The monument has been awarded a trophy of banners and weapons behind a seated personification of the States-General with freedom on the left and peace and unity on the right. In the left margin a windmill and a horse as symbols of agriculture, on the right an Amsterdam ship as a symbol of commerce. In the foreground left Mercury surrounded by all kinds of products of the country. On the right flow gods with fish, fishing nets etc. Central putti with attributes of the arts and sciences, including a painting on a easel and a printing press.
