Merchant's wife from Holland, slightly to the left, with frizzy hair combed back from her face over which on the back of the head a cap with 'wings' on either side of the face is outstanding. A large, thick pleat collar with the collar of the shirt visible in the neck. Wrinkled sleeveless yak trimmed with fur and around the shoulder holes with loose, hanging strips of fabric or ribbons. Long sleeves of fabric with sprinkle motif and knocked back, pleated cuffs trimmed with lace. Spacious, ankle-length skirt decorated with horizontal bands above the hem. Long white apron, soon tied around the waist so that the yak gets a tailored shape. Decorated shoes with higher heel. On the right arm a decorated basket with lid and handle ('bennetje') on which two lions who are wewing each other and hold up a coat of arms.
