The figure of the king's stadtholder William III (1650-1702), cast in two hollow halves, stands on a hexagonal pedestal. He is dressed like a Roman general, has long hair and wears a crown on the head. In his right hand he holds the scepter, his left hand rests on a shield placed behind him with two weapons. The top is quartered: 1 and 4 Scotland, 2 France/England, 3 Ireland. The lower one is the Leo Belgicus (Dutch lion).
