Metronome in the shape of a winch on a fluted sawn-through column as a pedestal. the clock and percussion is placed in the winch, which is hung with a laurel wreath. The column is decorated with a wreath of flowers. On the plinth, on which the lyre stands, staffs are arranged. On the shaft of the column the following inscription: DEDICATED TO THE DEPARTMENT OF MUZIJK IN THE SOCIETY FELIX MERITIS BY ITS FELLOW MEMBERS. A. BUIJN, D. VAN DIJL, C.G.N. HILKER, I.M KLEMAN, J. KUYPER, G.J. PALTHE. On the plinth the name of the maker: C. Welmeer. In garland around the fluted column dated: 1803.
