On the back wall view of paintings by Rembrandt including in the middle the 'Still Life of Peacocks' from ca.1639. The Rembrandt exhibition was held to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the University of Amsterdam. Between 1930 and 1933 the courtyard was reclassified for a new exhibition. The main procedure was to make a depot cellar, for which the floor level was lowered by about 1 meter. The floors were made of concrete. On March 26, 1932, the brick walls were completed. Middle room seen to the west.
