Model of a Capstan, 's Lands Werf Amsterdam (possibly), 1792 Canvas Print
Model of a cape seeer in a wooden frame of two levels. It is a cape for eight wind trees and has no poles to prevent the decline. The wooden king continues to a track at the lower level and is equipped with two arms with wheels that run against the attic of the lower level, to prevent the king from rising. The floor around the cape seeil's heel has a sloping surface; around the heel of the drum is a ring on wheels to reduce friction. This device ensures that the rope on the drum moves up; the inclined plane was resistance. Scale 1:10 (estimate).
