Model of a chain stopper between two decks, identical to NG-MC-621-2. Consisting of a slide for the chain on a bobbin and continuously through the starboard vault hole, and a heavy devil's claw hanging from a bobbin on the ship's wall; the claw is composed as a kind of scissors with a screw with two threads through the legs, with which the distance between the legs can be controlled. A bracket over the chain secures the claw against the upright side of the bobbin; the bracket is secured with a gaff, which is lashed to the deck bar by a hoist. A wooden chain with fake weight has been added to this model. Scale 1:10 (estimate).
