Model of a Disengaging Gear for Paddle Wheels, Petrus van der Loo, 1841 Canvas Print
Model of the disconnection of the crankshaft of a scoop wheel, on a ground shelf. The pin of the stool falls into a slot of a head on the stool of the cog shaft, which, when rotated in the correct position, releases the pen and thus disconnects the shaft. At each stroke, the pin of the stool then moves freely through the slot. Both axes can be moved with a crank. Scale 1:10 (derived).
