Model of a Gun and Carriage, anonymous, c. 1845 Canvas Print

Polychromed model of a gun on roller horse. The 49 cm long wooden barrel is painted black, red and white and has a caliber of 21 mm. The grape has an extra long neck on which a percussion lock is mounted by means of a bracket. The head of the hammer is shaped like a beak and falls around the zundgat, so that the beam of fire coming out of the zundgat does not knock the hammer back. The hammer rotates in a fork of the bracket, in which a tumbler is fitted with the atraction rope running through a disc. The roller horse is painted green. The cheeks, with three steps and an elliptical cut-out at the bottom, are further apart at the back than in front and are connected by an oblique calf and the ash bodies. The soleplate connects the front and rear axle bodies. The roller horse has a brisket with chest flap; set and adjusting block are missing. The wooden wheels are double and all of the same diameter. Scale 1:6 (estimate).
