Model of a Marker Waterschip, anonymous, 1800 - 1858 Canvas Print
Construction model of the hull of a Marker watership, on standard. Parts of deck and skin have been omitted to study the construction. It is a smooth-edged pointed gatter with high vertical stem, and straight falling stern. Wide rudder with wooden helmet wood. There is one deck with a deck structure, which covers the cabin and bun: this superstructure is built over seams and of the curved shape that is so characteristic of ships of this type, and has a small opening for a chimney. For this build-up is a frying pill; furthermore, a roasting pill in the bow, one in the stern and three more small roasting pills on the aft deck. The zeeg rises sharply forward. The torso shape is round with a keel, and the skin is perforated for the bun. On the aft deck an overflow for the large arch, and on the foredeck the mast hole; the model has four put irons on each side.
