Model of the Dry Dock at Flushing, 's Lands Werf Vlissingen (possibly), c. 1783 Canvas Print

Polychromed construction model of a dry dock containing a three-master. The walls are open, so that the heifundering can be seen; on one side, the floor is omitted, making the underlying slatted work visible. One end is equipped with curved lock gates, operated with poles on capes, and on both sides a spout. The other end is closed and also has two spouts. The spouts are operated with lifting screws. The dock widens backwards and stairs lead down on either side. The ship's model is a polychromed mould model, the skin under the barkwood omitted, and with a schematically indicated dense deck. The masts are sawn off. The ship has a twisted mirror, hollow wulf, one-storey fence decorated with carvings and one-storey side galleries. On the floor of the dock and deck of the ship lies a large amount of ship carpentry tools.
