Model of the Upper Part of a Made Mast, anonymous, c. 1780 - c. 1840 Canvas Print
Round mast with octagonal top, anono set and riding bowl. The mast itself consists of an octagonal mast king surrounded by eight cheeks; the cheeks end under the ears. The parts are held together by cockpit tires. A number of short planks around the mast form a flat riding bed from the front, on the sides the bumblebee pieces and ears and behind half an octagon. The longitudinal saddles are fixed to the ears with a brass dovetail, clinging to the bumblebee pieces support the longitudinal saturation and the calving. On the longitudinal saturation there are three transverses. This mast is made according to the 'Dutch method' (see NG-MC-127). This model can be taken apart.
