Allegorical monument in honor of the second centenary in 1818 of the national synod of the Reformed church held in Dordrecht from November 13, 1618 to May 29, 1619. In the center of a temple is a column with images of the synod. For the column, the Religion hands over a Bible to the Dutch Virgin. Behind the virgin are some historical figures, in front Prince Maurits can be recognized. On the left the Peace with a horn of plenty and a palm branch, on the right a grey-haired man kneels with some children at an altar. In the clouds the Fame flies, in the foreground lies the Dutch lion.
