Allegorical monument in honor of the glorious victories of the Dutch army in the year 1831. Central to the monument is the Dutch Virgin accompanied by the Netherlands Lion, they troddle the serpent of the Belgian rebellion. On the left an angel with the portrait of Van Speijk, on the right Hercules with portrait of General Chassé. On the monument in the three togen depictions of the battle of Hasselt (8 August), the self-sacrifice by Van Speijk (5 February) and the battle of Leuven (12 August). Above portraits of King William I and his two sons. All the way above the Faam with trumpet and the year 1831.
