Piano, the cabinet of oak and pine wood is partially painted in colors and gold. The columns that carry the keyboard rest on reclining lions, and the two high corner styles are crowned by the figures of a flute player and a citer player, with the faces of Cuypers and his wife Antoinette. On either side of Saint Cecilia's relic placed in the front behind glass are painted scenes from her life: her defence against Prefect Almachius; She bows her head before the executioner. On the far left the monk Hucbald, inventor of the counterpoint; on the far right Pythagoras, founder of harmony theory. On the back we see central Mary with her hands raised on the throne, with music-making angels and female and male saints. To the left and right of this are female and male representatives of sacred music from all ages.
