Nativity of Christ, anonymous, 1622 - 1700 Canvas Print
Mary and Joseph kneel with the Christ Child. Reproduction of the miraculous painting to which the victory by the combined armies of the Holy Roman Empire and the Catholic League under Johan Tserclaes, Count of Tilly, on the Czech Bílá Hora at the Battle of White Mountain (November 8, 1620) near Prague was attributed. The painting was brought to the church of Santa Maria della Vittoria in Rome on 8 May 1622. In the painting, the eyes of all the figures, except those of the Christ Child, are outstretched.
