Satire on the youngest French fashion that makes its appearance in Germany ca. 1629. The traditional German decency and German clothing are replaced by French fashion and French deception. In the middle a jester, standing on his head and with a beautiful headgear on his right foot. On the left is a couple that is dressed according to 'Der Alten Teutschen ALA MODO'. On the right a man and woman dressed according to English fashion: 'Nagel new ALA MODO mit einer Engeländischen Nebel hauben'. Below the image three columns of explanatory German text in letterpress.
