Square oak box with hinged lid. On the lid a golden (?) plate, on which the exploding of the gunboat is engraved. Inscription: VAN SPEIJK 5 FEBR 1831. HONOR SAVED AND FLAG AVENGED. In the lid an ivory plate, on which a snake as a symbol of eternity and in it: VAN SPEIJK. In the box a wooden block with two recesses for the rings. In the box objects to Van Speyk having belonged (NG-Nm-1090-A up to and including BK-Nm-1090-E).
