Porcelain incense holder on pedestal, painted on biscuit in green, yellow and eggplant. For the flat, rectangular holder two rows of three people, a row on an elevation, for a screen or interior. The bottom row with three men, the top with a table behind which a man, on either side of the table two sitting men with their hand on their belts. Old label on the underside with 'Royal Academy of Arts, London/ International exhibition of Chinese Art, 1935-36/ Ser. Nos. 1066/ Owner Rijksmuseum Amsterdam'. Holder has been broken. Enamel sur biscuit.
