Parable of the royal wedding feast, Christopher of Shechem (II), 1629 Canvas Print
A king instructs his servant to invite guests to a large feast. All the guests refuse to come, because they have other things to do: one had bought a homestead, the other had bought five pairs of oxen and went to have them inspected, the third had just married and therefore could not come. Then the king orders everyone to join the streets: the poor, the weak, the blind and the crippled. There are letters for various elements of the performance. The print is part of an album.
