Allegory of peace concluded with the Eternal Edict of 1577. The Triumphal Chariot of Peace, pulled by three donkeys. On the wagon sitting female personifications of Love (Charitas), Peace (Pax) and Covenant (Foedus) and weapons of Philip II, Don Juan of Austria and William of Orange. On the left kneeling the seventeen provincial maidens. The Old Hatred (Livor) and Eigenbaat (Proprium commodum) try to prevent the progress of the car. Behind the wagon are the representatives of the States-General. In the background, Discordia is strangled in a draw between the forces of Violence (Violentia) and the People (Populus).
