Photo album in black half leather band. The bracts have a brown and golden flower and leaf motif. The album contains 34 sheets with 347 photographs. They are photographs made by a French amateur photographer, presumably from a well-to-do family. He/she photographed a wide range of subjects in France: a cavalry barracks, family members, children playing, trips, hunting parties, landscapes, cities, villages, sailing trips, skaters, cyclists, amateur theatre players etc.. The photographer also experimented with his camera, as evidenced by the montage photos taken of two negatives and the recurring shots of a moving, jumping man. The Distillery Delizy & Doistau Fils, based in Pantin (now Paris), is frequently seen. Possibly the unknown photographer can be associated with this firm.
