Photo album of the Petri family, various makers, 1891 - 1943 Canvas Print
Photo album in a linen cover that is covered with paper with a geometric motif of orange and brown lines. The album contains 47 lined sheets of paper, taken from a cash book. The whole is held together with three ropes strung by the band back. The band does not seem to have been bought in the regular trade but to have been made by the compiler himself. The album contains family photos, mainly portraits, vending machine photos and group portraits of unknown persons, presumably members and acquaintances of the Petri family. Depicted are Martinus W. Petri (1853-1924), co-founder and director of the Municipal Music School in Utrecht, musician Henri Willem Petri (1856-1914) and singer Julia Culp (1880-1970). The recordings were probably made partly in the Netherlands, partly in Germany.
